Millennium Welt, the dealer representative for the brands BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad in the state of Negeri Sembilan, together with Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad (MCHB), introduced its first charging facility with the newest brand expression for MINI in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Seremban.
The arrival of the new MINI Charging Facility further electrifies the ecosystem for Electric Vehicle (EV) owners within and around neighbouring areas of Seremban, providing greater access to charging infrastructure to developing townships in the area.
Bryan Wong, Managing Director of Millennium Welt said, “We are thrilled to introduce the first facilities for the charging of EVs for the brand MINI in Seremban, supporting the growing need for more charging infrastructure in the area, in light of the increasing positive reception for electrified vehicles amongst our customers here. To date, we at Millennium Welt have already delivered over 140 electrified BMW and MINI vehicles, and we hope that with better access to charging facilities in the area, customers will have greater confidence in the shift to electromobility.”
Carmen Loo, Matrix Concepts Group General Manager of Corporate Secretarial, Governance and Sustainability said, “Our collaboration with Millennium Welt is the perfect fit as we share the same goals for sustainability. The installation of the MINI Charging Facility here at d’Tempat Country Club – which has also received the Gold Green Building Index Certification, is part of our larger vision to promote sustainable transportation and reduce our carbon footprint. Our goal is to foster a more sustainable future for ourselves and our future generations.”
Featuring an 11kWh Wallbox powered by ChargeEV, the new charging facility is located at the main entrance parking of d’ Tempat Country Club, PT 12653, Jalan Pusat Dagangan Sendayan 1, Bandar Sri Sendayan, 71950 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The charging facility is now open daily to the public from 9:00AM to 11:00PM, with a standard rate of RM5 for every 20 minutes of use.
The new charging facility from Millennium Welt is also part of BMW Group Malaysia’s strategy to develop the infrastructure needed for the charging of electric vehicles, together with like-minded local partners, dealers and key charging providers. Over 670 charging facilities have been made available by BMW Group Malaysia for EV owners here thus far, with access to over 360 of these facilities provided through partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech. The partnership with JomCharge also enables access to over 65 charging facilities, and Gentari with approximately 150 facilities. Over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are also available at most authorised dealerships, as well as partnering venues across the country, with more to come as part of the strategic infrastructure expansion plan set for the year ahead.
